2002-2005 Thunderbird Instrument Cluster Repair/Rebuild Service – This is a comprehensive repair/rebuild of the instrument cluster assembly for the 2002-2005 Thunderbird. The original OEM part has been discontinued, technically, ‘obsoleted’ … ‘no longer serviced’ by Ford and there is no remaining stock available anywhere. However, we offer a comprehensive rebuild/repair of existing instrument clusters for all 2002-2005 Thunderbirds. As the Thunderbirds are now between 18-21 years old, instrument cluster failures are becoming more common. Symptoms of a defective instrument cluster include; No Back Lighting, gauges not working, Voltage drain on battery, issues with other components such as power windows, door locks, tilt-telescoping steering wheel, and headlights.
Our rebuilding/repair work is performed by Ford-Authorized and Ford trained technicians and includes bench testing, comprehensive diagnosis, repair and re-soldering of microprocessor circuits in the motherboard and backlighting board. Our repair service is less than the price of what a new instrument cluster would cost if they were still available. We can also replace broken cluster lens covers and trip odometer reset buttons if needed at additional fees.
All repairs are warrantied for one year. In the event instrument cluster still shows symptoms or is otherwise not fully functional after repair service, customer must provide instrument cluster to us for warranty repairs prior to seeking repairs or service elsewhere and before filing any claim, or dispute with their bank or credit card company. Warranty does NOT cover other components that may be the source of the problems customer reports. Those components include, but are not limited to: Electronic Modules (FEM, REM, ECM, PCM, ECU), fuses, relays, wiring harnesses or other connections or components related to or connected to the instrument cluster.
Important Order Note: Please note that this is a ‘Special Order’ service which requires special handling and processing, including scheduling with our technical service department. Once placed and paid for, any order for this service that is cancelled by the customer for any reason, is subject to a $ 299 processing and handling fee. This fee applies even if the customer’s existing instrument cluster has NOT been received by us for repair & rebuild. Customer agrees to these terms at time of placing order. Allow 3-4 weeks for processing of your order.
