2017 Ford Thunderbird – No, you can’t buy this car yet. But an all-new Ford Thunderbird is sure to be part of Ford’s plans at some future date. After an eleven-year hiatus, Thunderbird enthusiasts worldwide are hopeful that the wait won’t be much longer. We found this popular design concept and wanted to share it with you. The details described here are only a ‘wish list,’ but we can always dream. The 12th generation Thunderbird might feature the following: Retractable hardtop, integrated hood air intake, aerodynamic front end dam and tail fins that recall the iconic 1957 Thunderbird. HID Xenon headlights sport clear covers echoing the world-famous Ford GT40, supercharged 5.9 liter V8 generating a jaw-dropping 625 horsepower. ‘Monaco Red’ exterior paint with dual white racing stripes and coordinating side accent stripes, 19″ sport wheels matched with Pirelli P1 performance tires, and set of privately-commissioned, custom-fitted Ralph Lauren Grand Touring luggage. The interior of the new T-Bird could include specially-designed high-backed racing style seats trimmed in a premium-grade Nudo leather with perforated inserts, and feature 10-way adjustment, lumbar support and both heating and cooling settings. Instrumentation might include a 200 MPH speedometer, tachometer and unique LED- ‘Performance Rack’ with s ‘virtual dial’ read-outs for coolant temperature, oil pressure, oil level, voltage and supercharger boost. The entertainment system could be a Bose 12-speaker custom stereo surround-sound stereo with built-in Bluetooth, MP3 player and on-board Wi-Fi, and would be among the first ever offered in a Ford vehicle.
